The SHOXS 8180 is purpose-built for maritime security applications. This seat is typically used for Special Forces team delivery and other high density troop transport applications.
SHOXS 8180 seats are available with SHOXSDUAL2 suspension, utilizing real Semi-Active technology. Ride conditions are analyzed 1000 times per second. Seat time response to damping adjustments can be as fast as 5 milliseconds. Continuously variable, it automatically compensates for occupant weight and modifies the seat response for each wave. Unlike manual adjustments SHOXSDUAL2 automatically adjusts damping ratios to maximize shock attenuation for various occupant weights and impact severity.
The SHOXS 8180 is compact and light weight. This seat incorporates a flip-up seat pan which creates additional deck space when it is unoccupied. A headrest may be deployed when required. Each 8180 is supplied with integrated personal storage and a water bottle holder. SHOXS 8180 incorporates 254mm (8”) suspension travel and is typically mounted directly to the deck with option to be bulkhead mounted.
SHOXS seats are manufactured using high quality marine grade materials including 6061-T6 AL, titanium, 316 stainless steel and heavy duty hand-stitched vinyl upholstery. Available options include SHOXSDUAL2, chart pocket, lap belt, black and tan upholstery.
