SHOXS 5505 is purpose built for maritime security applications. Typically used in small open boats, the 5505 is ideal for high-density seating layouts, search and rescue and Special Forces team delivery.

SHOXS 5505 seats are available with SHOXSDUAL2 suspension, utilizing real Semi-Active technology. Ride conditions are analyzed 1000 times per second. Seat time response to damping adjustments can be as fast as 5 milliseconds. Continuously variable, it automatically compensates for occupant weight and modifies the seat response for each wave. Unlike manual adjustments SHOXSDUAL2 automatically adjusts damping ratios to maximize shock attenuation for various occupant weights and impact severity.

The SHOXS 5505 incorporates a water-proof storage compartment. Often supplied with a rear mounted 5105, this tandem configuration is compact and light weight. The 5505 incorporates 203mm (8”) suspension travel.

SHOXS seats are manufactured using high quality marine grade materials including 6061-T6 AL, titanium, 316 stainless steel and heavy duty hand-stitched vinyl upholstery. Available options include SHOXSDUAL2, height and fore-aft adjustments, forward grab rail, stowing armrests, cup holder, lap belt, foot pegs, black and grey upholstery.
