SHOXS 6500 is purpose built for maritime security applications. Typically used for high speed interceptors, Special Forces team delivery and other high-density seating layouts.
SHOXS 6500 seats are available with SHOXSDUAL2 suspension, utilizing real Semi-Active technology. Ride conditions are analyzed 1000 times per second. Seat time response to damping adjustments can be as fast as 5 milliseconds. Continuously variable, it automatically compensates for occupant weight and modifies the seat response for each wave. Unlike manual adjustments SHOXSDUAL2 automatically adjusts damping ratios to maximize shock attenuation for various occupant weights and impact severity.
The SHOXS 6500 incorporates specialist ergonomics for Special Forces teams. During long transits a 356mm (14”) height adjustment provides ‘un-engaged’ passengers the safety and comfort of a very low seating position while also providing for high seated sightlines when required. A drop-out seat pan enhances crew mobility and also converts this seat to a shock-mitigated leaning bolster. Special deck mounts and padding kits allow compact fore-aft spacing for high-density seating layouts. The 6500 incorporates 254mm (10”) suspension travel.
SHOXS seats are manufactured using high quality marine grade materials including 6061-T6 AL, titanium, 316 stainless steel, heavy duty hand-stitched vinyl upholstery. Available options include SHOXSDUAL2, height and fore-aft adjustments, various armrest widths, head rest, pistol grips, cup holder, chart pocket, lap belt, black and grey upholstery, Furuno and SeaFLIR controller mounts, custom control consoles and workstations.
