Extra clothing for RIB and HSC crews and passengers includes boots, gloves, headwear, thermal layers. Specialist equipment includes waterproof watches, sunglasses and goggles. Specialist bags and carrying systems are used for equipment and weapons. Heavy duty divers dry bags have dry suit type zippers, and may include inlet and outlet valves to adjust the buoyancy of the load in the water. Small waterproof 'dry seal' packs are used for valuable items.Typical technology that is taken onboard professional RIBs and high speed craft include phones, handheld GPS and cameras. In the changing maritime scenario Tablets and iPhones are now required for email, internet access and stored data. Digital information includes SOPs, engine and equipment manuals plus medical reference.
