Shockwave ICE-2 Shock Mitigated Cockpit is a multi axis solution for small to medium size RIBs and open boats. The ICE-2 can also be mounted inside a larger vessel cabin, in a closed cockpit or open flybridge. Multi-axis suspension is more effective at reducing shock and vibration to vessel crews because it reduces both ‘side to side’ and ‘fore and aft’ motions.
The ICE-2 is available with stand over jockey seats or drop down bolster seats which allow sitting or standing at the helm. Mounting the controls in suspension enhances vessel control and enables better crew collaboration. Integrating controls and instruments into the suspension package protects sensitive equipment from shock damage. Options include custom dash layouts and radar mounting platform.
Specifications include 6061 T6 aluminum machined components and welded 5086 H32 aluminum chassis with welded 304 stainless steel hardpoints certified to CWB/AWS welding standards. Finish is hard anodize and polyester powder coat. Seat construction materials include EAF energy absorbing foam with hand stitched ballistic nylon upholstery. FOX Float shock absorbers are standard equipment. MRAD Magneto Rheological Active Dampening is available as an option for extra levels of shock and vibration dampening
Shockwave adjustment options include height adjustment and seat slider. Options include folding armrests, pistol grip handgrips, headrest plus shoulder, kidney or thigh rest and multi-point seat belts. Weather protection options include windshield, roof and side curtains. The ICE-2 is a highly customizable welded aluminum construction. A Jump Seat can be added to the rear of the console for a third passenger or a stretched version is available to seat up to 5 persons.
