The H.O. Bostrom JX-190 Series suspension seat reduces rider fatigue and injury in high speed and rough sea boating applications. The JX-190 jockey seat exceeds International Maritime Organisation (IMO) specifications for High Speed Craft (HSC) and is designed to isolate shock up to 6Gs. This marine suspension seat has been developed for use in RIBs and high performance boats.
The dual Seaspension® shock-absorbing pedestals feature internal progressively-rated stainless steel springs that self-adjust to occupant weight and sea conditions. The JX190 is designed to withstand a 15G load. Independent testing shows that the pedestals reduce the impact felt by riders from waves and pounding in rough seas by over 50%.
The one touch height adjust control allows quick rider adjustment while underway. This is an important feature for shorter or taller helmsman, crew or passengers. The ergonomic thermoformed cushion provides rider comfort and the padded, adjustable side cushions can be used in an upright or angled position. The seat covering is durable and hard wearing even on open boat installations. Optional extras for the JX 190 jockey seat include padded adjustable front handrails and padded adjustable back rests.
The H.O. Bostrom design team has extensive experience of developing high performance ergonomic seating with in house engineering, fabrication, and assembly. The five-step marine grade finish ensures that metal components are pre-treated, E-Coated and finished with a TGIC powder coat for corrosion protection. The multi-finish system has passed an independent 1000 hour salt spray test. H.O Bostrom seats are ABS Certified to IMO specifications of High Speed Code, Annex 10.
