The Zodiac MK2 GR inflatable boat is designed to be simple, strong and reliable. The Grand Raid (GR) name is almost as old as Zodiac itself and has gone through many design and feature evolutions and is still very relevant in today’s market. The GR has numerous individual uses and forms the backbone of many small boat fleets worldwide.
The Zodiac MK2 GR can carry a maximum of 6 persons according to ISO6185 and the maximum payload including engine and fuels is 920 kg (2028 lbs). The 3 part floorboard system is constructed of anti skid anodised aluminium with stringers The MK2 GR has a usable floorboard area of 2.0 m² which allows it to carry occupants and equipment for a variety of tasks.
The inflatable tubes are constructed of Hypalon neoprene with 3 airtight compartments on the main buoyancy tube plus an inflatable keel and a large flow self bailer. The MK2 GR has 2 buoyancy tube intercommunication / inflation valves. This inflatable boat is supplied with foot bellows and hose, repair kit, pressure indicator, paddles and a storage bag.
Reinforcements include all round rubbing strake, rubbing strakes under the keel and tubes. The engine transom pad is constructed of marine plywood with an aluminium engine mounting plate. For handling there is a bow handle, 4 moulded PVC carrying handles plus an exterior lifeline. There are 2 large stainless steel bow towing D rings plus 4 interior small D-rings.
